Welcome to the course "New Media in Teaching Pedagogy"
This module introduces participants to the possibilities and potential of ‘New Media’ as a pedagogic tool. Various examples of new media being used for learning will be illustrated followed by a critic of the usefulness of new media in supporting good pedagogic practices. Familiarized with the affordances of new media, participants would be encouraged to design learning that integrates the various fields of media.
Learning Objectives:
After the course, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the notion of new media
2. Explain principles of human learning
3. Understand the affordances of new media and its relations with how people learn
4. Design an instructional activity using new media
